Charlotte cake is the fastest and tastiest apple pie made from a set of simple and affordable products. If you want to please your loved ones with something tasty for tea, be sure to try to prepare apple charlotte with sour cream. Apple charlotte dessert with sour cream turns out a little denser than the classic, but more juicy, with an appetising ruddy crust ?
Ingredients
- 5 apples
- 250 g wheat flour
- 3 eggs
- 180 g sugar
- 150 g sour cream
- 80 g vegetable oil
- 10 g leavening agent
- pinch salt
- pinch vanillin
Instructions
- Prepare all the ingredients.

- Prepare a mould for baking charlotte apple pie (I have a 24 cm diameter mould). Cover the bottom of the mould with parchment and grease with sunflower oil.

- Add the baking powder to the flour, add the baking powder and mix.

- Sift the flour and baking powder through a sieve.

- Wash and dry the apples. Remove the core from the apples.

- Peel some of the apples (3 pcs) and cut into small pieces.

- Cut the remaining 2 apples into thin slices.

- In a separate bowl, beat the eggs and season with salt.

- Start beating with a mixer, gradually adding the sugar. Beat until the mixture is puffy and light in colour.

- Add the sour cream to the beaten egg mixture. Mix gently with a silicone spatula. Then add sunflower oil to the mixture and mix again until homogeneous.
- Gradually, in two steps, pour the sifted flour and baking powder into the egg mixture. Mix well so that there are no lumps. It is not necessary to mix the dough for a long time, as soon as all the flour is incorporated, it is ready.

- Add the apples cut into small pieces to the dough and mix with a spatula.

- Place the sliced apples in the bottom of the prepared mould.

- Place the prepared dough on top of the apples and smooth over the entire surface.

- Send the pie to bake in a preheated oven at 180 degrees Celsius for 40-60 minutes, see the time according to your oven (I baked for 50 minutes). Check the readiness of the dough with a skewer, if it comes out dry and clean, then the charlotte cake is ready.

- Take the finished apple charlotte pie out of the oven, remove from the mould and invert onto a board or platter. Allow to cool.

- Sprinkle the top of the pie with icing sugar. Tender apple charlotte dessert is ready!
