When I want to please my family with some bright and savoury dish, I prepare a prefabricated hodgepodge with meat and sausage. This delicious, hearty and flavourful soup falls in love with itself from the first spoonful!
Ingredients
- 300 g meat (Here at your discretion, with what meat to cook the hodgepodge: with chicken, beef, pork. I chose chicken thighs)
- 250 g ham
- 250 g smoked sausage
- 2 pcs sausages
- 100 g olives
- 2 pcs onions
- 4 pcs pickles
- 0.5 cups cucumber brine
- 2 tbsp. tomato paste
- 2 tbsp. vegetable oil
- salt, herbs (to taste)
Instructions
- Prepare all the products.

- Send the meat to boil. When it boils, remove the foam, cover with a lid and cook until tender.

- Cut the onion into medium slices, the sausages into circles and the sausage, ham and pickles into slices.

- Now you can start frying. Start with the onion - fry it until golden.

- Add the sausage and ham to the onions and fry for another 2 minutes.

- Add the pickles, stir fry for 2 minutes.

- Add the tomato paste, mix well, pour a little water and stew under a lid for 15 minutes.

- Meanwhile, take care of the meat. Take it out of the broth, cool it down, slice it and then put it back in the broth.

- Next, add the roast, sausages, olives (whole) and cucumber brine to the broth. Mix everything well, add salt to taste, bring the hodgepodge to a boil and then remove from the heat. Let it infuse for 15-20 minutes.

- Delicious prefabricated hodgepodge is ready! Serve it with fresh herbs and slices of lemon. If desired, add a spoonful of sour cream.
