Red Bean Hummus is just as good as traditional chickpea hummus. The result is just as tasty, hearty and healthy appetiser. Diversify your diet - try making this protein-rich delicacy at home ??
Ingredients
- 250 g red dry beans
- 50 g sesame tahini paste
- 50 ml olive oil
- 2 tbsp. lemon juice
- 1 tsp salt
- 2 cloves garlic
- parsley for decoration
Instructions
- Prepare all the products.

- Rinse the beans well and soak them in water for 10 hours.

- Then boil the beans until tender, drain the liquid and cool. When you drain the liquid, save about 100ml of the broth, you will need it for the next step.

- Leave some bean kernels to decorate the hummus, chop the rest together with the reserved broth to a puree. I used an immersion blender for this. If you will be chopping the beans in the bowl of a food processor, choose the metal blade attachment.

- Add the tahini, olive oil (30 ml), lemon juice, salt and peeled and finely chopped/pressed garlic to the mixture.

- Re-grind everything until smooth.

- The red bean hummus is ready! Garnish with the bean grains and parsley, drizzle the remaining olive oil over the top. You can serve and take compliments ?
