Homemade tuna fish salad with egg and cucumber: easy recipe

Simple and delicious salad with canned tuna. Prepared in 30 minutes, from quite affordable products that perfectly combine with each other. A great option for a festive table, and just to please yourself and loved ones with something unusual and tasty ?

Ingredients
  

  • 200 g tinned tuna
  • 2 pcs eggs (large)
  • 0.5 pcs cucumber
  • 2 tbsp. mayonnaise (if desired, you can replace mayonnaise with sour cream or natural yoghurt)
  • herbs (for decoration)

Instructions
 

  • Prepare all the products.

  • Take the tuna out of the tin, remove the liquid and bones (if there are any). Using a fork, break it into small pieces.

  • Wash, dry and finely dice half a fresh cucumber.

  • Boil the hard-boiled eggs, cool and peel them. Separate the whites from the yolks and chop finely.

  • Grate the yolks into a separate bowl. Or you can grate them later, as the last layer on the salad, to keep them airy.

  • Take an appetiser or dessert plate (shallow), place a mould on top and start layering the salad. Note: if you don't have a mould, use a transparent salad bowl (so you can see the layers).
  • The first layer is cucumbers. Lay out the cucumber slices, smooth them out and smear them with mayonnaise.

  • The second layer is tinned tuna. Spread the tuna pieces evenly and smear it with mayonnaise too.

  • The third layer is the whites. Place chopped whites in the mould and smear them with mayonnaise.

  • The fourth layer is the yolks. Spread them on top of the last layer.

  • Tuna fish salad is ready! You can serve it immediately or put it in the fridge for an hour to soak it up (in this case, I recommend wrapping the salad with food film to prevent the yolks from darkening). If desired, decorate the tuna salad with cucumber circles and herbs.
